NAUSHAHRO FEROZE: Three die as trailer rams into parked bus

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, May 2: Three persons were killed and another was injured when a trailer hit a bus standing at a petrol pump near the Kandiaro bypass early on Sunday.

A Karachi-bound bus was parked at a petrol pump and the passengers were having refreshments when a trailer hit the bus from behind, pushing both the vehicles into a ditch. As a result, three passengers - Abdul Rehman and Wazir Ali, residents of Sadiqabad, and Gulsher Jamali, resident of Jacobabad - standing in front of the bus were killed on the spot.

Trailer driver Mohammad Bakhsh was injured and shifted to the Civil Hospital here while the bodies of the dead passengers were sent to their native areas. The Kandiaro police have registered a case.

Meanwhile, a person was killed when a truck hit him on the Moro bypass late on Saturday night. As the body remained unclaimed, it was handed over to the Edhi volunteers. The Moro police have registered a case.
