DADU, April 25: The Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz will stage a rally in Karachi on May 25 to protest against the Kalabagh dam and Greater Thal canal projects. This was announced by JSQM chairman Basheer Qureshi at a public gathering on the ninth death anniversary of G.M. Syed in Sann on Sunday.

He alleged that Punjab had started to take more water than its share after the creation of Pakistan. He deplored that computerized national Identity cards were being issued to Afghans, Burmese and other illegal immigrants living in Sindh.

He said that the resources of Sindh including oil, coal and gas were dominated by the establishment, belonging to a particular province, and even jobs at the oil and gas fields were not given to Sindhis. He opposed establishment of military cantonments in Gwadar, Sui and other parts of Balochistan.

Abdul Wahid Arisar, Jeay Sindh Students Federation president Sudhir Tunio, Sindh Nari Tehrik president Bakhtawar Khaskheli and others also spoke on the occasion.

JSM-Z: The Jeay Sindh Mahaz (Zain) and the Syed family also held separate programmes in Sann to mark the death anniversary of the late G.M. Syed.
