QUETTA, April 25: Balochistan Engineers Forum (BEF) has demanded that the government should provide jobs to the unemployed engineers of the province.
Speaking at a news conference held at the press club on Sunday, Balochistan Engineers Forum chairman Mohammad Aslam Baloch claimed that the National Highway authority has recently recruited 36 engineers, but none was a local person.
He said that the government on one hand was making tall claims of accommodating people of the province in mega projects, but on the other qualified and skilled people of Balochistan were denied employment share in the uplift schemes.
He claimed that about 2,000 graduate and diploma engineers were running from pillar to post to get jobs, but were unable to find employment in the province. He demanded that the government should create job opportunities for the unemployed youth of the province.
