MITHI, April 25: Taluka Nazim Faqir Sher Mohammad Bilalani has called for a judicial investigation into registration of a robbery and firing case against two Nazims of Nagarparkar taluka.

In a statement here on Sunday, he alleged that the Nagarparkar police had registered a fake case against Nagarparkar Taluka Nazim Abdul Ghani Khoso and union council Nazim Abdul Raheem Khoso at the behest of local influential people.

Mr Bilalani claimed that the Nazims were victimized for their political standing. He demanded that legal action should be taken against those police officials who had registered the false case against elected representatives.

SCHOOL LAB: Members of the Thar High School Naokot, School Management Committee have lauded the generosity of a German donor, Adidas Salomon, who donated Rs110,000 to purchase equipment for school laboratory.

School teachers Sanaullah Bhatti, Kastur Chand, Attaullah Bhatti and members of the SMC told this correspondent on Sunday, that the school was run on the self-help basis with enrolment of 519 students (70 girls and 449 boys) for the last two years.

They said the school laboratory lacked equipment and the SMC had requested Thar Deep Development Programme executive director Dr Sono Khangrani for help. They said Dr Sono approached the Save Children Fund as a result of which Mr Salomon sent an amount of Rs110,000 as the first instalment out of donation of Rs220,000, through the TRDP. SMC members said Mr Adidas provided donation for lab equipment in memory of the late David Husselbee.

Dr Sono Khangrani said that Adidas had also agreed to provide a donation of Rs145,000 for the construction of two rooms for community high school in Heelario Pir village of Diplo taluka.

PROCESSION: Officials of the education department took out a procession to commemorate education week here on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Sono Khangrani urged the people not to deprive their children of education.
