HYDERABAD: Many housing schemes termed Illegal

By Bureau Report

HYDERABAD, April 25: The Hyderabad Development Authority notified here on Saturday that many housing schemes were being constructed in the city without obtaining NOCs from the HDA.

An HDA spokesman cautioned people against booking plots in such schemes as they would be wasting their money and added that Al-Raheem town, Indus town, Diamond city, Imtiaz town and many other housing schemes were being launched illegally.

Moreover, the spokesman said, lands on which the schemes were being raised did not belong to the sponsors as the proprietary rights of these lands had not been obtained from the Sindh Board of Revenue, a necessary legal prerequisite.

He said the authority was taking necessary legal action against the sponsors of the illegal schemes under the Sindh Building Control Ordinance. He advised the public to seek clearance from the HDA director-general, the Planning and Development Control or the Building Control Department directors before booking any plot or property in these schemes.

LUMHS: The theory examinations of postgraduate degree and diploma courses of the LUMHS candidates and its affiliated colleges would commence from April 26 at LUMHS Jamshoro campus from 11am onwards.
