QUETTA, April 23: Leaders of the National Party have stated that government policies causing population influx in the province will not be accepted and urged progressive and nationalist forces to struggle jointly against the oppressors.

Speaking at a press conference in Jhalawan House here on Friday, when Langoo tribe chief Sardar Rahimdad Langoo joined the party, Baloch nationalist leaders blasted the government for launching what they termed anti-people projects in Balochistan.

Mir Hasil Bizenjo, central deputy chief organizer of the party, opposition leader in the Balochistan assembly Kachkol Ali Baloch and MPA Sardar Sanaullah Zehri, chief of Jhalanwan, also spoke at the press conference.

They warned the government that allotment of land in Gwadar by the non-locals without the consent of the natives would develop hatred between Balochs and the settlers, adding that the government must desist from those policies that would cause political instability in the province.

The NP leaders claimed that in the past, the government had committed serious mistakes by allotting land in Patfeedar area of Nasirabad, that created unrest and resentment amongst the natives who later forced the settlers to vacate the land.

They stated that nationalist political parties of Balochs, Pukhtuns and Sindhis had agreed to form an alliance against the construction of Kalabagh Dam, greater Thal canal and cantonments in Balochistan to frustrate the designs of conspirators.

Mir Bizenjo, Sardar Zehri and Kachkol Baloch bitterly criticized the Jam government, particularly MMA ministers, for utilizing uplift funds on the basis of favouritism.
