Five killed in house collapse

QUETTA, April 21: Five persons of a family, including three young girls, were killed and three women were injured when the roof of a house collapsed on them during a thunderstorm in Loralai area of Balochistan , officials said.

According to sources Loralai and its surrounding areas was lashed by heavy rains on Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning. The roof of the house of one Ahmed Jan collapsed killing of five members of the family and injuring others.

"All the family members were sleeping in a room when the roof of the house caved-in," officials sources in Loralai said, adding that the injured were rushed to the Civil Hospital for treatment.

The names of the victims were Ahmed Jan, Abdul Razaq, Farzana Bibi, Jamila Bibi and Nifia Bibi. Three injured women were identified as Yasmin Bibi, Sirbukhat Bibi and Palwasha.
