Sehwag, Kumble share spoils

KARACHI, April 16: Ebullient Indian opener Virender Sehwag and veteran leg-spinner Anil Kumble were the most successful batsman and bowler respectively of the three-match Test series that ended in Rawalpindi on Friday.

Sehwag scored 438 runs, including India's maiden Test triple century - a memorable 309 in Multan, while Kumble picked up 15 wickets the most on either side. For Pakistan, Yousuf Youhana accumulated 280 runs, but it was the courageous Asim Kamal who topped the batting averages for the home side.

Danish Kaneria, Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Sami claimed seven wickets each while Umar Gul headed the bowling averages on either side, taking six wickets at 16 each. Following are the averages of the Pakistan-India series:
