KAARACHI: Two girls allowed to live with mother

KARACHI, April 16: Justice Muhammad Azizullah M. Memon on Friday allowed two girls to live with their mother in their house situated in Sachal Goth.

According to details of the case, Jannat Khatoon sent a letter to the Chief Justice of Sindh High Court Saiyed Saeed Ashhad stating that her two daughters were abducted by some persons and the girls could be killed as "Kari".

The chief justice converted the letter into a constitutional petition and marked the same to Justice Muhammad Azizullah M. Memon for disposal. On the orders of SHC bench, both the detenues Mst Zahida alias Hajiani and Mst Khalida alias Dadli, daughters of the complainant woman, were produced by SI Nadeem Ahmed Channar of Mehrabpur Police Station, District Naushehro Feroz.

According to SI Channar, police recovered the girls on SHC direction. The police officer also submitted the memo of recovery and stated that the girls were brought to Karachi by train that reached the city on Friday morning.

The detenues stated that they had been recovered from Imam Bukhsh Ansari Village. When asked with whom they want to live, both said that they wanted to live with their mother, Jannat Khatoon.

The bench allowed them to live as per their wishes and directed SI Channar to arrange security till they reach their home in Sachal Goth. The bench also left them free to initiate legal proceedings against captors/abductors before a competent court of law. -APP
