MIRPURKHAS, April 15: The district development committee in its meeting on Thursday approved about 49 development schemes of legislatures. The schemes of water supply, drainage and electrification will be completed with an estimated cost of Rs106.4 million.

The meeting was informed by the DCO that Rs21.8 million were spent on 61 development schemes in different parts of the district. He said 34 schemes were completed and 27 had been in final stage. EDO finance, works and services and Nazim union council Doulatabad Umer Bughio attended the meeting.

LIQUOR SEIZED: A big quantity of liquor was recovered during a raid on a liquor factory on Wednesday. A heavy contingent of the police raided a house near old Numaish area Gharibabad on a tip-off and arrested Mohan. A big quantity of liquor and raw material was seized from the house.

RECRUITMENT: A team of the Pakistan Army will recruit youths on April 21 at 9am at the office of Municipal Committee Mirpurkhas. Interested youths have been advised to appear before the team with necessary documents.
