KARACHI, April 14: Residents of Gulshan-e-Maymar and adjacent localities on Wednesday complained of numerous problems including lack of a graveyard, long power breakdowns and encroachment by Land mafia.

During the visit of a member of the Sindh Assembly, Muhammad Hussain, the people told him that they had informed the concerned departmental officials about their problems but none of them were interested in resolving them.

They apprised him that there was no government college, school or hospital in Gulshan-e-Maymar. They further complained that illegal colonies were being developed at lands around Gulshan-e-Maymar by the land mafia.

During visits to Filter Plant and adjacent villages the minister was told that they did not have proper transport, education and health facilities. Besides due to low voltage household appliances were getting damaged, they added. Muhamamd Hussain assured the residents of the areas that their problems would be resolved. -PPI
