QUETTA, April 13: Five teachers who are on hunger strike for the last one week in jail ward of hospital were produced before the judicial magistrate II Quetta Haroon Agha on Monday
but the court adjourned the hearing till April 21 keeping in view the poor condition of the protesters.
The spokesman of the Government Teachers' Association Balochistan said that four other hunger strikers who were detained in district prison Quetta cant appear before the court due to their weakness.
Spokesman said that protest meetings held on Tuesday in all districts have denounced the government's lukewarm attitude toward teachers demands and said the strike would continue till their demands were accepted.
The GTA spokesman said that the ministers - Syed Ehsan shah, Mir Asim Kurd, and Mir Ghafoor Lehri - assured us that the teachers problems would be resolved in the meeting with chief minister but now concerned minister including the chief minister left for Islamabad for an important meeting.
