Feeble interest for tickets

By Our Sports Reporter

RAWALPINDI, April 11: As in Multan and Lahore, the response to ticket sales for the series-deciding third Test between Pakistan and India, was poor.

On Sunday, when ticket sales began, there weren't any long queues like those witnessed for the one-day matches that preceded the Tests.

Two ticket booths had been set up in the vicinity of the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, where the match is due to begin on Tuesday. Sarfraz Ahmed, local media coordinator of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) told Dawn that sales remained low perhaps because the banks were off on Sunday.

From Monday, specified branches of Bank Alfalah in Rawalpindi and Islamabad will also start selling tickets. The Tests at Multan and Lahore were played before virtually empty stands.
