By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, April 11: Irresponsible use of official weapons by policemen at a wedding party on Sunday claimed the life of a teenager and seriously injured a passer by.

According to reports, the incident occurred in Future Colony, Quaidabad, where the wedding ceremony of Asif was taking place.

Asif's uncle, a police official, decided to celebrate the occasion by resorting to aerial firing. His associate ASI Fayyaz also joined him and used his official weapon.

The bullets hit high-tension wires over the locality, which fell on a passerby, Amjad, 16, who died on the spot, while Fareed suffered injuries. Fareed was taken to the JPMC in a serious condition. Both the policemen were posted at the Sharafi Goth PS.

INJURED: Abdul Rauf, 16, was brought to the Civil Hospital from the Dhobi Ghat area with a bullet wound in his head on Sunday night.
