KARACHI: Policy on girls' transport problems soon


KARACHI, April 10: City Nazim Naimatullah Khan has said that a policy was being soon finalized to solve the transport problems of all the city girls colleges.

He stated this during a visit to the St Lawrence Degree Government College on Friday.

Speaking at a ceremony on the occasion, Mr Khan announced that the college would be further expanded soon.

He exhorted the students to vigorously participate in academic and co-curricular activities. Speaking at the ceremony, DCO Mir Hussain Ali said that the attention paid by the city government on education was remarkable.

The city government, he said, would provide all resources for solving the college's problems, adding that EDO (Colleges) had been directed to submit a detailed report in this regard, which would be considered for solution of these problems.

The nazim presented awards to Urooj, Sahrish Javed, Samin Basir, Sobia Munawar, Saima Iqbal and Saba Abdul Ghani as best Qariya.

Earlier, the college principal presented the welcome address and gave a resume of the college activities and the problems being faced by it.-APP
