LAHORE: Two slaughtered in separate incidents

By Our Reporter

LAHORE, April 5: Two persons were slaughtered in different parts of the city on Monday. Watchman Mohammad Akram (42) was found lying dead in his rented room at Eden Park in Raiwind City. His friend Latif Ahmad, a gardener , informed police that he had visited him in the morning and found him lying in a pool of blood.

Nothing was missing from the room, said the police and quoted his wife as having said that he had no enmity. However, she said he was in the habit of developing relations with women, which might be a cause of his murder.

The deceased had two children. His body was removed to the city mortuary for autopsy. A case has been registered with no arrest. A businessman, Khalid Mahmood (55), was also slaughtered by two unidentified assailants in his house in Baghbanpura.

His cousin, Azam, told police that the two men barged into the house and attacked the businessman without having any argument. He denied his cousin had a business rivalry. The businessman has left behind a widow and seven children. His body was sent to the city mortuary for autopsy.
