SUKKUR: Villager, daughter kidnapped

SUKKUR, April 4: A man and his daughter were kidnapped by armed persons in the Moran Khan Domki village, Buxapur police station jurisdiction, on Saturday night. Ten persons barged into the house of Saffoo Khan Lashari and at gunpoint kidnapped him along with and his daughter, Laila Khatoon, 30.

On information, police rushed to the scene and chased the kidnappers but they managed to escape. Jacobabad DPO Din Mohammad Baloch said the incident was the result of an old enmity. He said the Bagh Ali Chakrani group was involved in the kidnapping.

ARMS RECOVERED: A huge quantity of arms and ammunition was recovered from a closed house in the Rawanti police station jurisdiction, Ghotki, on Sunday morning.

On a tip-off from an intelligence agency, Rangers personnel raided the house near Rawanti and recovered four klashnikovs, two hand grenades, three guns, two pistols, 350 rounds of klashnikov, 10 magazines and other ammunition. No arrest was, however, reported.
