KARACHI: Young man shot dead

KARACHI, April 4: A young man was shot dead near his Chakiwara residence on Sunday morning. Police said that Rashid Ali, 24, was sitting near his house in Omar lane, in the limits of Chakiwara police station, when two men riding a motorcycle opened fire at him and fled. He was rushed to the Civil Hospital, but was pronounced dead by the doctors on arrival. The doctors said that he had received three bullet wounds.

BODY FOUND: The body of a man, in his mid 20s, was found along Kemari coast on Sunday. Police said that the body was taken from Machhar Colony to the Civil Hospital for autopsy, from where it was shifted to Edhi morgue for identification.

WOUNDED: A man was shot at and wounded while he was taking food at a Machhar Colony hotel on Sunday. Police said that Basharat, 20, was shot at in Shah Jalalwali Gali by two motorcyclists.

ACCIDENT: A motorist died when an oil tanker fell on his car in North Nazimabad. Police said that the oil tanker had hit a car, driven by Mehtab Waqar, 35, from the rear near Five-Star intersection in North Nazimabad. The oil tanker while negotiating a sharp turn fell on the car killing Mehtab. Police arrested Nadeem and impounded oil tanker. Mehtab, a resident of Azizabad, was an employee of foreign bank.
