BADIN: 19 hurt in Badin road accident

BADIN, April 3: Nineteen people were injured when a passenger van overturned here on Saturday near the DPO's residence. The driver of the van (LHP-3568) while trying to save a buffalo, which appeared from a road side, lost control of the vehicle.
The van overturned injuring 19 people who were rushed to the civil hospital. Two of the injured passengers - Syed Awal Shah and Khan Mohammed Soomro - are stated to be serious.
Abdul Sattar Pathan, Mitho Bheel, Ibrahim Chang, Gul Hassan and Ghafoor Khatti were identified to be among the injured passengers.
WOMAN KILLED: A farmer, Walidad Gopang, axed his wife to death on Friday near Tarai village and presented himself for arrest to the police.
The farmer told the police that suspicion about his wife's character prompted him to her killing.
Police have registered a murder case against him on the complaint of his wife's uncle.
TWO DIE: Two persons were killed in a fire incident in Talhar on Friday.
The fire broke out in two kerosene oil shops in Talhar town, when drums were being filled from a tanker. Explosions also occurred blowing up the ceiling of the shops.
A worker, Sultan Leghari, in one of the shops and the driver of the tanker, Babu, received serious burns. They were rushed to Hyderabad Civil Hospital where they died.
In another fire incident, at least 15 houses were reduced to ashes on Friday in Misri Khan Chandio village, Badin taluka. No casualty was reported.
