BEIJING, April 1: China on Thursday reiterated its support to the peace process between India and Pakistan.

A spokesman of the Chinese Foreign Office Kong Quan said at the weekly news briefing that China wished to play its role as a "constructive partner" for peace and development in South Asia.

Commenting on Defence Minister Gen Cao Gangchaun's recent visit to Pakistan and India, Kong Quan said the hosts were told during bilateral talks that Beijing would always support the peace process between the two countries. - APP
