Over 450 give test for telecom jobs

By Our Staff Reporter

ISLAMABAD, March 7: Over 450 candidates appeared in the online test conducted by the National Database and Registration Authority on behalf of the National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC).

The test was conducted at the Nadra Headquarters in Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore and Peshawar. The test was held for the posts of assistant divisional engineers and data network supervisors. Deputy directors of the respective provincial headquarters of the authority were present on the occasion with their technical teams.

As many as 183 applicants appeared in the test from Islamabad, 125 from Lahore, 94 from Karachi and 63 from Peshawar. To maintain secrecy of the questionnaire, it was developed in an encrypted format only readable by a specific software. The test was prepared by the NTC, while the software used was developed by Nadra.

The result was displayed to the candidate at the end of the test. The first online test was conducted by Nadra in September 2003. The online test has advantages of fairness and fulfilling objectives of transparency with remote chances of any foul play in recruitment process.

PPI adds: Meanwhile, a mobile team of Nadra will visit Attock district on Tuesday.

The team will dispatch Computerized National Identity Cards to the applicants in different localities, including Shahrah-i- Shadullah Union Council, Gully Jahangir Union Council, Malal Union Council, Dharnal Union Council.
