PESHAWAR, Feb 26: A Peshawar High Court bench on Thursday reinstated seven activists of two students' federations rusticated from the NWFP Agriculture University.

The bench comprising Justice Nasirul Mulk and Justice Shahjehan Khan took an undertaking of good behaviour from the students. The students undertook that they would not reside in the university's hostel in future.

The bench allowed the students' petitions and directed them to maintain discipline and not create any law and order problem. The petitions were filed by activists of the Pukhtun Students' Federation and the People's Students' Federation, including Mian Furqan Ahmed, Mohammad Nisar and others.

The petitioners were rusticated from the university after a clash in the hostel. Advocates Qazi Mohammad Anwer, Mian Fazal Wahab

and Muzamil Khan appeared for the petitioners and contended that they were in the final year and their future would be ruined if they were not reinstated.

Advocate Khalid Khan appeared for the university and said the administration had no objection over reinstatement of the petitioners if they furnished undertakings for not residing in the hostel and maintaining good conduct.
