KARACHI: Two die in accidents

KARACHI, Feb 21: A boy and a man died in two road accidents in Liaquatabad and New Town on Sunday. Police said that a dumper hit a motorcyclist, Syed Sabir Hussain, 35, near the Jail chowrangi in New Town police limits. Sabir, father of two and resident of Gulshan-i-Maymar, died on the spot. The body was shifted to a hospital for autopsy. He was inspector in the building control authority, the police said.

The police arrested the driver, Samad, and impounded the dumper.

In another incident, a five-year-old boy was hit by a Toyota Hi-ace in B-1 area, Liaquatabad. The boy died on the spot. The body was sent to a hospital for autopsy and was later handed over to the family for burial.
