Call to debate scientists' issue in parliament

By Our Correspondent

MIRPURKHAS, Feb 17: PPP MNA Nawab Mohammad Yousuf Talpur has called upon the government to bring the scientists' issue in parliament.

Talking to party workers at the camps established in Mirpurkhas, Mithi, Hyderabad and Badin, he said the people had great sympathies for the 'demoralised' scientists, including Dr A. Q. Khan who had been made scapegoat to save some individuals.

"The proliferation charges are another great tragedy that the dictators have hurled on the masses of Pakistan for craving for democracy." He said parliament was the supreme national forum and nuclear scientist Dr Qadeer Khan should be allowed to present his case before it and face parliamentary scrutiny about the proliferation charges.
