PESHAWAR, Feb 15: Provincial Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Sardar Muhammad Idrees and Minister for Information Asif Iqbal Daudzai visited Battagram and Manshera districts carrying with them relief goods, an official handout stated here on Sunday.

It said the relief goods included 200 tents, 200 blankets, medicine and food items. During the visit, provincial minister Sardar Muhammad Idrees announced a compensation amounting to Rs100,000 each for heirs of deceased. Both the ministers visited the affected areas and monitored the relief operation.

The NWFP government has set up a camp for monitoring the relief operation in areas affected by earthquake, which struck NWFP and other parts of the country on Saturday. An official of Provincial Relief Commission said that the Federal Relief Commission dispatched 200 tents and blankets for the affected people. -APP
