ISLAMABAD, Feb 7: The mother of Maj Islamul Haq (retired), one of the KRL officials still in the custody of security agencies, has been admitted to the KRL hospital.

The family of Maj Islam and Dr Farooq, in a statement, said Maj Islam's mother was hospitalized .

Hussainul Haq, the brother of Maj Islam, and Asim Farooq, the son of Dr Farooq Ahmad, also denied the allegations that Dr Farooq held a fake degree.

They said the degree was genuine and duly registered by the KRL, besides authenticated by Dr A.Q. Khan. The record is available at the KRL headquarters along with the copies of thesis prepared and presented by Dr Farooq to the degree-awarding institution, they added.

Similarly, they also denied the allegations that Maj Islam was maintaining bank accounts in Dubai. Those familiar with the laws of Dubai know that nobody can open an account unless he holds residential visa and work permit, they added.

About the allegations of owning a house worth Rs25 million, they said the house was a modest bungalow located in Chaklala.
