PSF invites 12 players for trials

ISLAMABAD, Jan 20: The Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) has asked 12 players to appear in selection trials for the forthcoming SAF Games. Following the trials to be held on league basis between Feb 9 and 15 in Islamabad, a four-member team will be chosen , squash secretary Wing Cdr Sajid Waheed said on Tuesday.

On the selection panel will be the senior vice president of PSF, Air Marshal Rashid Kalim, a representative each of Pakistan Sports Board (PSB), Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) and the SAF Games Organizing Committee. Sajid himself is also one of the members.

The players invited to attend the trials are Mansoor Zaman, Shahid Zaman, Farrukh Zaman, Majid Khan, Muhammad Ilyas, Arshad Iqbal Burki, Khayal Muhammad, Saeed Hasan, Khalid Atlas, Farhan Mahboob, Yasir Butt and Zubair Ali. Once the team is selected, the players will be put in a camp but it is not known yet who will train them.
