Published January 10, 2004

LARKANA, Jan 9: A complete strike was observed in Mirokhan town on Friday to protest against the deteriorating law and order in the district while a procession was also taken out in this regard.

The participants of the procession raised slogans and, marching on the main roads of the town, converged at the Arzi Bhutto Chowk where they burnt tyres and also staged a sit-in.

Speaking to the protesters, the leaders criticized the poor state of law and order in the district and termed it a conspiracy against the constituency of Benazir Bhutto.

They alleged that the voters of Ms Bhutto were being targeted for supporting her.
