KARACHI, Dec 12: Chief Minister Ali Mohammad Mahar has expressed his satisfaction over the performance of the coalition on the completion of its first year in office.

Talking to newsmen, he hoped that the coalition would demonstrate an improved performance during the next year.

The CM said that every possible step would be taken for the betterment of people. He said that President Musharraf’s visit to Ghotki on Sunday would augur well for the people of the area.

Mr Mahar said that he would also request the President to announce a package for upper Sindh like one already announced for Hyderabad.

In reply to a question, he pointed out that his government had reinstated all those retrenched by the past governments.— APP
