TEL AVIV, Dec 11: A bomb apparently placed by criminals exploded in central Tel Aviv midday Thursday, killing three people and injuring 30, officials said.

Ze’ev Rosenstein, a prominent Israeli underground figure who has survived five assassination attempts by rival criminal organizations, was among the wounded, suffering injuries to the hand and foot. The two dead were apparently passers-by. Most of the injuries were light. —dpa
