SHIKARPUR, Dec 4: Patients are suffering as there is shortage of medicines in district hospitals, this correspondent learnt here on Thursday.
There are also complaints that district health authorities are providing substandard medicines to the hospitals.
Sources said medical superintendents of some district hospitals had demanded that the authorities should purchase and supply quality medicines of reputed companies as per the requirement made by hospital administrations.
They said due to shortage of funds, hospitals administrations were unable to purchase life-saving drugs.
The DCO has constituted a committee to ensure the purchase of quality medicines. —BoC
