TT committee named to hold elections


KARACHI, Dec 3: The General Body of Pakistan Table Tennis Federation (PTTF) has appointed a two-member committee to resolve all disputes in the sport and hold fresh elections of the federation.

Member of the committee and former secretary PTTF S.M. Sibtain said on Wednesday that the other member of the committee is former president PTTF, S.H. Shah.

The committee will fill the vacuum and participate in the ejections of stay granted by the court regarding the elections of PTTF, he added.

He said elections of PTTF will be conducted as soon as ejection is obtained.

S.M. Sibtain, who remained secretary of PTTF from 1977 to 1991, said Rashid Nabi Malik has been appointed as the co-opted member of the committee .

He said General Body also approved the amendments in PTTF through which Executive Powers has been transferred to chairman instead of the president.

He also said that the Ex-president of PTTF S.H.Shah also informed him no ban was imposed on ABL team and former national champion and Farjad Saif.—APP
