ISLAMABAD, Dec 3: Islamabad and Ankara have renewed their pledge to extend cooperation between the two countries to fight against terrorism.

In a meeting between the Turkish ambassador, Kemal Gur, and the federal interior minister, Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat, here on Wednesday, both the sides decided to share information to track down Al Qaeda network in their respective territories.

The minister said Pakistan condemned the act of terrorism that took place in Turkey recently.

He said such acts of violence were only a manifestation of primitive mentality of a minority, which had brought bad name for the whole Muslim community all over the world.

“An act in some parts of the world can trigger violence thousands of miles away, therefore, it is necessary for all the countries to support each other,” he said.
