LAHORE, Dec 3: All disputes with the MMA will be settled amicably during current month, hopes PML-Q president Shujaat Husain.

He told reporters at the airport on Wednesday on his return from Germany where he had gone for medical treatment that he had wished settling all the issues with the MMA in December last but somehow it could not happen. Now the task would be accomplished this month, he added.

He said his absence had not hindered talks process rather it progressed positively with the consent of Gen Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Jamali.

He said he had been in contact with the people concerned by phone.

He said all decisions would be taken in the best national interest.

Referring to a recent statement of PPP president Makhdoom Amin Fahim, he said there was nothing wrong for going abroad for medical treatment but taking guideline from abroad was unfair and creating problems in the dialogue process.

He recalled that he had given the idea of a broad-based national government. But, the idea was dropped when it could not fulfil the interests of those sitting abroad.
