SIALKOT, Dec 3: Two persons were killed and three others hurt in an exchange of fire between two rival groups over land possession at Akbar village in Daska, on Wednesday evening.
Reports said there had been a prolonged dispute of two-kanal agricultural land possession between Kajhi Shah and Jaffar Shah groups.
Some members of the two parties tried to plough the land, but a clash erupted between them. In an exchange of fire, Muhammad Boota alias Booti Shah and Jaffar Shah (the two rivals) were killed.
Three men — Muhammad Rafiq (of Kajhi Shah group) and Akbar Shah and Maqbool Shah (of Jaffar Shah group) suffered grievous injuries. They were referred to the Lahore Hospital from the Daska civil hospital due to their critical condition.
Satrah police have registered a case against the members of the two groups, but yet to make any arrest.
