Naqvi sent on remand

RAWALPINDI, Nov 30: Civil judge Islamabad on Sunday sent Allama Sajid Naqvi, chief of the outlawed Islami Tehrik-i- Pakistan, to Adiala Jail for 14 days.

Mr Naqvi will be reproduced before the court of Civil Judge Abdul Jabbar on December 13.

He was arrested in Rawalpindi on November 15 in connection with Maulana Azam Tariq murder case and handed over to the Islamabad police.

Despite being public holiday, the judge on Sunday ordered the police to send Mr Naqvi to Adiala Jail (judicial jail) for 14 days.
