Asfand declines offer to be part of MPs team to UN

By Our Staff Reporter

ISLAMABAD Nov 3: The president of Awami National Party (ANP), Senator Asfandyar Wali Khan, has declined the government’s offer to be part of a parliamentary delegation, which left here for United Nations on Monday, sources said.

The sources said Mr Khan told the government that he would not like to become part of a parliamentary delegation when the Constitution itself had been disfigured and distorted by incorporating the Legal Framework Order in it.

Moreover, Asfandyar told the government that he did not want to become the member of a setup, which was not running the democratic institution.
