SUKKUR, Nov 3: Two minor boys drowned in the water supply reservoir, Jacobabad, on Sunday.

Two cousins, Akhtar Ali, 10, and Wazir Ali, 7, residents of Mochi Mohalla, Jacobabad, drowned in the reservoir when they went to take a bath in it.

On being informed, parents of the children rushed to the spot and fished them out. They shifted the boys to a hospital where doctors after checking them, confirmed their death.

Later, the bereaved parents and others staged a sit-in at Garhi Khairo road that lasted for half an hour.

They said that officials of the Taluka municipal committee were responsible for the death of their children as they had not built a boundary wall around the reservoir due to which many children had died.
