PESHAWAR, Oct 25: The provincial government has started implementation on a comprehensive policy to improve performance of the education department, under which various effective measures have been taken to improve the education system.

According to an official handout here on Saturday, education minister Maulana Fazle Ali has warned that inefficient, corrupt, and lethargic officers would not be tolerated.

These officers would have to improve their performance in accordance with the required expectations and standards, the release added.

The minister also directed the staff to ensure implementation on these instructions and their performance should be reviewed on a monthly basis.

Their performance reports would, in fact, determine the fate of their cases relating to promotions and postings, etc., it added. —APP
