OKARA, Oct 19: JI Naib Amir Senator Prof Ghafoor Ahmad has urged the government to disclose the real cause of the murder of Millat-i-Islamia chief MNA Maulana Azam Tariq.
Talking to newsmen at the residence of district JI Amir, Dr Capt Liaqat Ali Kusar (Retired), Prof Ghafoor claimed that the nomination of Allama Sajid Naqvi in the FIR of Maulana Azam Tariq’s murder did “not mean” that Mr Naqvi was involved in the murder. He termed it satisfactory that Allama Naqvi had offered to swear his innocence on the Quran.
Prof Ghafoor offered Fateha for Dr Liaqat’s wife who had died in an accident.
