KARACHI, Oct 16: Four ships carrying containers and coal are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five ships, Hyundai Sprinter, Bunga Kenari, Clestina, to unload and load containers, Sea Rainbow to offload DAP fertilizer and Le He to unload and load general cargo were berthed after the departure of two.

The ships, which departed included Westerland and Naga, while Le He, Clestina, Bunga Kenari, Dubai, Kassel, Safe Marine Orannje, Malakand and Eax Sanctity are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 77,918 tons comprising 9,029 tons of export cargo and 68,889 tons of import was handled.

The following ships are due on Friday: India Star, Wan Hai-301, Kota Teraju to unload and load containers and Black Swan to unload 23,007 tons of coal.
