One killed, 10 hurt due to electrocution

MIRPURKHAS, Oct 8: One person was killed and 10 others, including women and children, were injured when live hanging wires touched their van near the Mirwah Gorchani town on Tuesday.

The person killed was identified as Mushtaque Lanjwani. The names of some of the injured were ascertained as Mohammad Ali Lanjwani, Aachar Khan, and Gulzar.

The injured were taken to the Rural Health Centre, Mirwah Gorchani.

The villagers had repeatedly complained in writing to the Hesco, Mirpurkhas division, regarding the live wires but in vain. Even the line superintendent concerned did not pay any attention to their complaints.—APP
