TOBA TEK SINGH, Oct 6: Twelve people were killed and five received injuries when a bus collided with a wagon on the Rajana-Toba Road on Monday.

The wagon (LOH-363) that left Kamalia for Toba Tek Singh was overtaking a vehicle when it ran into a Sadiqabad-bound bus (FDO-9788) near Chak 336/GB Saraba, 12 kilometres away from here.

Out of the 12 victims nine were identified as police constable Ilyas Marth, a cotton ginning factory owner Bashir Ahmad, Muhammad Siddiq, Wali Muhammad, Abdul Ghafoor, Iftikhar Ahmad, Muhammad Iqbal, Kamran Aziz and Perveen Akhtar.

Five injured included four men and the son of the deceased Perveen Akhtar.
