Nazims’ offices closed

MIRPURKHAS, Oct 4: The district government through a notification has ordered to close offices of the Nazim of Khokhrapar union council and the Naib Nazim of Naukot union council after the passage of no-confidence motions against them.

COMMITTEES: District Nazim Pir Shafqat Hussain Shah Jilani has said he has directed to set up committees to make the system of collecting service charges and distribution of the Zakat fund in civil and taluka hospitals of the district transparent.

Talking to journalists here on Friday, he said a district-level committee, comprising representative of the district Nazim, executive district officer, health, and the district officer, health, would be set up to supervise collection of service charges and distribution of the Zakat fund.

ARRESTED: A man was arrested and illegal arms were recovered on his tip-off on Saturday.

Sultan Machhi, a resident of Ghulam Rasool Junejo village, was arrested under 304 and 353 PPC.

The police claimed on his information a kalashnikov,a magazine and 20 live bullets were recovered from the bank of Jamrao canal near 78 Mori.

A case has been registered against him for possessing illegal arms.
