KARACHI, Oct 4: Pakistan International Airlines flight PK-305 from Lahore to Karachi was delayed for several hours when the plane had to return to Lahore shortly after it took off, due to a technical problem.

The flight left Lahore at the scheduled time of 5pm, but a little later the pilot detected a fault in one of the engines and decided to go back to Lahore.

The passengers were to be flown later to Karachi by PK 716.

The fault reportedly developed when the plane was going from Karachi to Lahore earlier in the day and its engine No.2 was hit by a bird.
