LONDON, Oct 4: The English Premiership has agreed a 57-million-pound (95-million-dollar) deal with financial giants Barclays to sponsor the championship for three years.
The deal will run from the beginning of next season through to the summer of 2007 when the competition - currently called the Barclaycard Premiership - will be known as the Barclays Premiership.
Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore said: We are very pleased to continue our association with Barclays Group. —AFP
