ISLAMABAD, Oct 3: President Gen Pervez Musharraf on Friday said Pakistan was poised for an economic takeoff and had immense potential to become a hub of economic activities in the region.
He made these remarks while talking to a three-member delegation of Halcrow International, a company specializing in the engineering sector.
The president gave an overview of economic reforms and enumerated the initiatives that had been taken for attracting foreign investment and creating a business friendly environment in the country.
Halcrow chairman Anthony K. Allum appreciated the country’s economic reforms.—APP
