KARACHI, Oct 1: The unified Pakistan Muslim League on Wednesday held its first meeting at the Kingri House, residence of Pir Pagara, and announced to form a six-member organising committee, headed by party chief President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, party sources confirmed.

The committee, they said, would work to bring the PML-N into the party fold besides pursuing the process of registration with the Election Commission in the light of recommendations made by its legal aid committee.

The decision was announced at the general meeting of the party workers at the Kingri House by the committee’s secretary, Shaikh Siraj Ahmad.

Speaking to participants of the general meeting, PML chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain welcomed the merger of Sindh Democratic Alliance with the party, saying that a formal decision in this regard would be announced after the return of the prime minister from the US.
