Thrilling win for KGA

KARACHI, Sept 29: Karachi Goan’s Association (KGA) caused a major shock when they handed out an exciting two- wicket defeat on fancied Tapal CC in Saddar Town Green City tournament on Sunday.

Akif Alvi scored an unbeaten 82 and Hasan Arshad hit 70 as TCC made 241 for four wickets in their 35 overs. KGA in reply reached the target for the loss of eight wickets.

Jonathan smashed 42 off 32 balls with six boundaries. Andre Bernard scored 34. Sabir Ali took three wickets.

Saddar Town beat KPI by three wickets. KPI were bowled out for 153 in 33 overs. Behram (40), Nariman (28) were their main scorers. Off-spinner Siraj Khan took four wickets for 29 runs. Iqbal Surti bagged three.

Saddar Town in reply reached the target for loss of seven wicket in 31.2 overs. Qambar Ali hit a match winning 52 with seven boundaries and Amir Hussain cracked 35.—APP
