‘87 kidnapping cases registered’


ISLAMABAD, Sept 18: A total of 87 cases of kidnapping for ransom were registered since December 2002, interior minister Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat informed Senate on Thursday.

The interior minister, while replying to a written question fielded by Nisar Ahmed Memon, said 27 incidents of kidnapping for ransom were reported in Punjab, 44 in Sindh, 13 in the NWFP and three cases were registered in Islamabad Capital Territory.—Staff Reporter
